My name is Sandra and unfortunatelly no one had invented a nickname for me that stuck, except maybe Sanky which was given to me by my best friend, one summer night in my favourite restaurant in Šibenik and it means sledge. (The story is long and weird but if you'd like to know, I am happy to tell.) I'm a book lover and an artist with an imagination who loves to explore. Through my artwork, I strive to create stories that are full of emotion and life. I specialize in paintings inspired by folk tales, dark fairytales, and fantasy. Reading is a fuel to my art, an immersive experience that opens doors to innumerable universes in time and space. I love to read to rekindle my imagination, to explore different minds, and see different points of view. I believe that there is a story behind everything.

Do you know the feeling of geting lost inside a story so intensely that your sense of reality fades away and you are submerged in the unseen world of your own imagination? Such a world is full of magnificent images, senses, emotions,  and delicious smells that your mind creates for you. This is my playground. It is a place where everything is possible!

As children, our imagination was our home, however as we grow older we are discouraged from daydreaming and fantasy, but what we create inside behind out closed eyes is no less real than our morning cup of coffee. By creating fantastical worlds as children we learned how to navigate in life. And this resource is still here for us, to aid us in our grown-up lives, to help us through our good and bad times.
